come true.Job Summary: Full time position responsible for
maintaining accurate financial records for multiple resort
properties as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, accurately recording financial transactions,
reconciling and maintaining bank accounts, reviewing and verifying
vendor invoices for proper coding and approvals, preparing and
recording monthly journal entries, preparing accurate monthly
financial statements and related reports, monitoring cash balances,
maintaining adequate documentation to prove all general ledger
balances, maintaining all financials schedules and files so that
they are always current and neat, assisting with year-end audits
and preparation for audits, and assisting with annual budget
preparation.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Staff Accountant has the
primary responsibility for the accurate recording of financial
transactions for the resorts assigned, and for the organized
maintenance of records and files.Timely preparation and
distribution of monthly financial statements and reports. ALL
financial reporting packages must be complete and delivered by the
25th Calendar Day of the following month.Reconciliation of all bank
accounts, notification of supervisor of any necessary action to be
taken.Timely and accurate preparation of rental escrow statements
as applicable.Preparation and posting of accurate journal entries
for billings, cash receipts, payroll, interest, rentals, service
charges, assets and liabilities and adjusting journal
entries.Reviewing all work carefully before submitting it for
review.Verification of all balance sheet accounts and maintenance
of auditors' schedules with appropriate documentation necessary to
prove the current balances each month.Maintenance of all schedules
and spreadsheets and keeping them current.Monitoring cash balances,
ensuring sufficient cash to cover payroll and checks written,
ensuring FDIC limits are not exceeded.Ensuring that all taxes are
paid timely.Ensuring that vendor 1099's are prepared and mailed in
a timely fashion to the appropriate vendors.Adherence to all
corporate and departmental policies and procedures.Active
participation within the team assigned.Answer questions from resort
managers and VRI operations staffPrepare accurate and complete
documentation for year-end audits and assist with questions on the
auditsAssist in setting up and reviewing annual budgetsSpecial
projects that may arise.Other ResponsibilitiesOther
responsibilities which may or may not be assigned to other members
of the team may include, but are not limited to:Filing of accounts
payable, journals, and all documents according to
policy.Preparation of bank deposits.Posting cash
receipts.Preparation of special reports, research, and/or analyses
as directed by supervisors and management.Work Environment:The work
environment characteristics described here are representative of
those an employee encounters while performing the essential
functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles,
white out fumes, powder from print cartridges, cleaning supplies
and risk of microwaves from micro wave ovens. The work environment
is that of a typical office with a moderate noise level. This noise
level is created by light foot traffic and office equipment noise
such as computers, printers, calculators, phones, etc.Physical

perception and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally move or lifts
boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.Qualifications: BS in accounting or
three or more years in experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting
including understanding of general accounting practices and
principles. Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks
including bank reconciliations, journal entry postings, account
transfers, and line-item budget reviews. Ability to produce a
variety of accounting records and entries in an accurate and timely
manner each month. Good time management skills. Ten-key by touch,
proficiency with Excel and Word and automated accounting
