  • Maintains clearly documented fiscal records in accordance with GAAP and a strong environment of internal controls. Responsible for all accounting transactions with an emphasis on cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and accruals
  • Updates standard costs annually (or more frequently as needed). Works closely with Engineering, Customer Service, and Production to understand and validate the standard cost of each part, analyzes manufacturing variances and job profitability, and makes adjustments to improve financial accuracy
  • Prepares weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and presents them to plant leadership, the Corporate Executive Vice President, and the Corporate Finance team. This includes but is not limited to the Monthly Business Review (MBR), weekly cash flow and sales forecasts, the annual budget, P&L forecasts, and special projects
  • Reports on key financial metrics, including EBITDA, operating cash flow and other KPIs. Analyzes variances to metrics, investigates trends in the business and uses this information to make accurate forecasts and decisions to maximize profitability. Uses this information to anticipate problems in advance and communicates actionable solutions to the Management team
  • Works with the other departments to encourage an environment of continuous improvement and drive cost reduction ideas -
  • Prepares and/or approves the business case for capital investments and manages the capital budget
  • Uses the Epicor (ERP) system to record accounting transactions and provide financial support to other members of the Management team to assist them in their decision-making processes. Utilizes the OneStream consolidation system to submit weekly/monthly/annual reports and information -
  • Establishes credit limits for new customers and determines credit rating and risks. Analyzes ongoing AR issues regarding credit terms and timely payment schedules
  • Collaborates and shares leading practices with other Finance Managers and the Corporate Finance team

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manages up to 3 direct reports in the Finance team and is responsible for their overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization' s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS -

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor' s degree with either an accounting or finance emphasis
    • Master of Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant, and/or prior public accounting experience preferred but not required
    • 6 to 10 years related experience in accounting with 3 or more years in a management or supervisory role as a Finance Manager or Controller with budgetary responsibility
    • Alternatively, a high-performer without prior Finance Manager or Controller experience with strengths in financial accounting, financial planning & analysis, and/or cost accounting will be considered
    • Manufacturing and ERP experience strongly preferred

      LANGUAGE SKILLS

      Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

      COMPUTER AND SYSTEM SKILLS
      Must be capable of working with Microsoft Office, as well as have familiarity with an integrated manufacturing system. -

      Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to correlate financial data into sound financial decision making. -
