Technician is a role whose preliminary focus will be to learn the
CGP story, learn our core values, and live it in your day-to-day.
CGP’s Field Technician will deliver a high level of customer
service to property management, hospitality, retail and restaurant
clients at the highest professional level. Using a variety of
skills and tools, completes all tasks safely, efficiently, with
high quality, and within efficient timeframes to ensure
reliability. Requirements: In this role, you will: Performing
Maintenance Activities for Clients: Must call client location in
advance for all work orders. Must have necessary tools when
entering the job site, according to the trade and nature of the
job. Must have the necessary paperwork and specific instructions
related to the client and work order (sign off sheet; check in and
out instructions, etc.) Introduce yourself with the store manager
or MOD and explain the reason for the visit. Smile, shake hands,
and explain what they can expect (length of time, possible
disruptions to their business, etc.) If we leave a jobsite to buy
materials, we must always leave the job area safe and secure and
notify the SM or MOD. Tech must call the office to request a PO
number each time material is purchased for a job. When purchases
are made after hours the work order number should be used instead.
If a job is expected to exceed the NTE approved by the office, you
must call for approval to proceed before exceeding this amount.
Tech must always clean up before leaving the jobsite. Tech must
speak with the store manager of MOD before leaving the premises to
explain what has been done, or what is left to do, and ask if they
have any questions before you leave. Tech must get before and after
photos of all work performed or inspected. Tech must get the SM or
MOD’s signature on the related paperwork. Tech must call the office
to inform them when each job has been completed. Paperwork must be
turned in daily, along with all necessary information and pictures
of the jobs completed. Teamwork, Standards, Expectations: Establish
effective working relationships with employees. Work with Project
Manager when necessary for clarification on jobs. Maintain
exceptional customer service skills. Complete job tickets and
mileage logs accurately and thoroughly on a daily basis. Record the
use of truck stock that is used on respective job tickets. CGP
employees will follow guidelines that will protect the interest and
safety of all employees and the organization as well as ensure job
site etiquette. Company provided uniforms will be worn at all
times. Proper work boots are to be worn at all times. Employees
must present themselves in a professional manner: No foul language.
Use of cell phones only when necessary and not in the presence of
clients, in stores or while driving. Being prepared when arriving
on site to begin work. Always inform clients when the task has been
completed or when leaving the job site. Company vehicles must be
parked in the proper location on the job site. Never park in front
of clients’ main entry. Work area must be clean upon departure;
good housekeeping is part of the job. Do not block aisles, traffic
lanes, fire exits, stairs, etc. Do not use tools with split,
broken, or loose handles. Keep cutting tools sharp and carry all
tools in the proper fashion. Never do anything that is unsafe in
order to get the job done. Use your personal protective equipment
whenever it is required. Know the correct use of hand power tools.
Use the right tool for the job. Inspect ladders before use and make
sure they are safe before using. Requirements: Must be a quick
learner. Must have the ability to use basic hand tools and other
equipment. Must be able to follow verbal or written directions.
Must be a safe driver. Must be able to pick up and deliver
supplies/materials. Must be neat, clean and organized in the shop,
company vehicle and job sites. Perform preventative maintenance
work as required. Communication skills with dispatch/office.
Understand and use the different check in/check out requirements
for each individual client. Ability to understand NTE’s and work
with Project Administrator/Service Coordinator in getting increases
when necessary. Physical Requirements: Ability to carry and use
tools and equipment Requisite ability required to drive motor
vehicle Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and crawl The physical
limitation of ladders Ascend and descend a ladder while wearing a
tool belt that weighs 10 lbs. Get in and out of a van to retrieve
various items. Lift miscellaneous tools and products within the
warehouse and van racks. Occasionally sits and climbs
ladders/stairs; performs fine motor and pinching movements; pivots
with feet, and bends, twists, and laterally flexes back; reaches at
overhead, shoulder, knee, and floor levels; shoulder circumduction
while driving (turning steering wheel); stoops, squats, crouches,
kneels, crawls, and presses foot pedals; extends, flexes, rotates,
and laterally flexes neck Frequently stands and walks; pushes/pulls
with arms and grasps with hands; reaches at waist Qualifications:
Minimum 1 to 3 years maintenance trade experience with a like
industry such a property management, hospitality, retail or
restaurant facility services. High school degree or GED equivalent
preferred Valid state driver’s license and a good driving record
Successfully meet (and maintain) background check requirements

Status: Non-Exempt Average Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
plus On-Call Service (rotating), some nights & weekends as needed.
