Job DescriptionAreteem Institute is looking for passionate and qualified candidates to teach and organize online math and statistics programs. Year-round we offer online math and science classes as well as national summer and winter camps. We also offer private tutoring to highly motivated students. Most of these programs are during the evenings or weekends. All online teaching can be done remotely using your own computer.Summer 2022 Intensive 10 Week AP Courses in Math (covering full course curriculum):

AP Calculus AB: Tuesdays/Fridays from 4-6pm Pacific Time starting June 14th
AP Calculus BC: Mondays/Thursdays from 4-6pm Pacific Time starting June 13th
AP Statistics: Wednesdays/Saturdays from 4-6pm Pacific Time starting June 15thMore information about current offerings is available on our course site: https://classes.areteem.org

Responsibilities

Candidates would be expected to:Help plan the AP course and submit the AP Course Audit

Teach live sessions during the course
Engage students when solving questions and facilitate group discussion and teamwork
Clearly explain concepts and answer student questions
Review homework and plan live sessionsQualified candidates can also have opportunities to:
- Suggest new programs or projects for students
- Conduct private tutoring with students
  
  Requirements
  
  Candidates should be passionate educators who want to share their extensive knowledge with others. Ideal candidates have experience teaching AP courses or the college equivalent and hold an advanced degree in math, statistics, or a related field.
  - Have great verbal and written communication skills and use this skills to display passion while teaching
  - Be comfortable with technology and teaching in an online classroom
  - Enjoy working with K-12 students and be available during after school hours and weekends
  - Work well as part of a team, but also have the ability to take initiative to accomplish tasks
