Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion - Education & Awareness Lead page is loaded Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion - Education & Awareness Lead Apply locations United States - Illinois - Lake Forest United States - Pennsylvania - Collegeville time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id 4876563 ROLE SUMMARYGlobal Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (GDEI) Education and Awareness Lead has three primary responsibilities: strategy and thought leadership around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Pfizer (Design, Execution and Facilitation of the DEI Learner's Journey); building organization and leadership capability in DEI education & awareness programs in partnership with the Learning Academy; designing development programs, strategies and interventions to enable Pfizer's DEI aspirations including but not limited to our opportunity parity goals.The position reports to the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of the DEI learning agenda. Develops and delivers tailored best in class DEI strategic plans that align with the Enterprise DEI Strategy and that positively and measurably affect the culture, team, and colleague experience in support of the strategic business goals and fit for purpose customized DEI . Partners with HR and BU Senior leaders to execute on the enterprise strategy and specific "Fit for purpose" strategy for the division. -ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESThis role will lead the scoping, development, and implementation of Pfizer's short-term and long-term DEI training program in consultation with the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and VP of the Learning Academy. This role will provide oversight and direction to support the DEI Strategic Framework and partner closely with Digital L&D to ensure consistency and alignment to strategy. This role will serve as a subject matter expert, and interact with all levels and business units at Pfizer to drive the overall learning and development agenda and build positive relationships.Inclusion, Diversity, Equity - Education & Awareness Lead

  • Provides strategic thought leadership as the architect and lead for the DEI Learner's Journey
  • Leads, designs, develops and executes/facilitates DEI curriculum and education and awareness programs, that drive growth toward an inclusive work culture.
  • Develop and implement a training plan for DEI team learning and professional growth centered on DEI and core competencies
  • Create an iterative and coherent vision and strategy for DEI training and development at Pfizer that considers the needs of different roles, teams, and groups of Colleagues, as well as the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain a method for evaluating DEI training and development efforts.
  • Gather and assess feedback from relevant stakeholders on the effectiveness of DEI training and learning opportunities; as appropriate, use this feedback to shape training and learning offerings.
  • Provide analysis based on questions and comments from different working groups to determine the need for DEI interventions
  • Manages learning engagements and DEI resources with external DEI partnerships/consultants
  • Collaborate with other members of the DEI team to ensure a unified and coherent approach to DEI learning and development.
  • Develop innovative programs (ex. Learning communities) to spotlight our culture
  • Translate strategy into specific DEI action plans with clear accountability, make decisions based on best available information, and communicate priorities clearly and concisely to management
  • Lead Enterprise projects and initiatives as a self-starter with a strong client relationship focus and outstanding critical thinking and communication skills (Examples: DEI Dashboard, L&D Inclusion Workshops, Talent Strategies, Summits, Courageous Conversation Workshops etc.)
  • Conduct ongoing research on demographic trends and practices, identifying and recommending strategies for improving our efforts through innovative and solution focused ideas
  • Keeps current on diversity programs and developments by developing and maintaining strong networks with others in the field (such as professional associations and educational groups, and professional development efforts). (Examples: CEO Action, Catalyst, Gartner etc.)
  • Lead the development of DE&I metrics and analytics to influence decisions related to people, business practices, and other priorities through compelling data, analysis and recommendations that align with Pfizer's values. Leverage all sources of data including Pulse results to develop "fit for purpose" DEI plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and/or external Communications to amplify key messages for conferences, accolades, etc., contributing to Pfizer's brand/Employer Value Proposition for diverse talent.STRATEGIC CONSULTATION to the business
    • Partners with Diversity Business Leads and Leaders to provide coaching on diversity/cultural competency/inclusion discussions
    • Partner with HR and business leaders to drive cultural change that fosters belonging, inclusion, and contributes to Pfizer's ability to attract and retain world-class diverse talent.
    • Act as the SME to advise and guide hiring managers, human resources, and senior leadership on diversity issues and trends. -
    • Work to imbed DEI core competencies and "just in time" trainings into moments that matter (i.e. hiring, performance evaluations, etc..)
    • Provide input into internal communication strategiesINTERNAL FACILITATION
      • Partner with DEI/HR partners in planning and coordinating inclusion workshops and conversations, and external speakers around DEI topics. Help facilitate and design workshops.
      • Work in collaboration with Executive Leadership, HR leadership, talent acquisition and others on identifying and minimizing the impact of any potential systematic barriers and enablers of diverse representation.QUALIFICATIONS
        • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
        • 10+ years experience including 5+ years of Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources or relevant business experience
        • Experienced and proven success in leading the development and implementation of DEI learning initiatives across matrix organizations
        • Advanced knowledge of current diversity, equity, and inclusion theories, practices, and pedagogies
        • Experience in training and development required, ideally experience designing and/or leading DEI training and development programs
        • Ability to manage work effectively across multiple teams in a dispersed team environment
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective in-person/virtual facilitation skills
        • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Certification
        • Change Management Certification & Practitioner
        • Proven track record in developing solutions to meet business needs including but not limited to designing, facilitating, and leading enterprise-wide education & awareness program, Self-ID campaigns, outreach efforts to the military, disability, LGBTQ+, and Native American communities
        • Project management, conference and sponsorship engagement experience
        • Demonstrate ability to evaluate DEI program effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
        • Experience leading large complex projects from conceptualization to implementation -
        • Skills and experience in analyzing and diagnosing business problems to identify root causes
        • Demonstrated ability to translate workforce data analytics into strategy
        • Demonstrated an agile approach to working with senior leaders
        • Demonstrated track record in taking initiative, working independently, and handling multiple priorities simultaneously, and demonstrated cultural competence
