AB Staffing is looking for experienced Special Education
Teachers for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year. Special Education
Teachers needed throughout California: San Diego, Los Angeles,
Santa Ana, Quartz Hill, Concord, Oakland, San Jose, Pacifica,
Antioch, and more locations Pay: Starting at $45/hour DOE and
location Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special
Education from an accredited college or university Must possess a
valid Special Education Teaching Certification/License in the state
of California. Driver’s License Knowledge of core academic subject
assigned, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage
their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and
interpersonal skills Knowledge of local, state, and federal
regulations and policies affecting special education At least one
year of teaching experience with students with a variety of
disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other
learning and cognitive delays, preferred. Must possess strong
communication and organizational skills. Must demonstrate
initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time;
see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without
vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the
telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand
clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to
understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include
frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately
25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials
weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Job
Description: Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School -
Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based
on school location Contract through the 2025/2026 school year –
37.5 to 40 hours per week Contract follows the academic district
calendar As a Special Education Teacher, you will: Develop and
implement engaging, effective lesson plans and special education
programs tailored to students’ needs. Adapt curriculum based on
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and diverse learning styles.
Maintain regular contact with parents, providing updates on
progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning at
home. Create a well-organized, safe, and positive learning
environment. Implement strategies to manage behavior and ensure a
productive classroom atmosphere. Provide individualized and group
instruction, utilizing specialized techniques for students with
diverse needs. Assess and track student progress, adjusting
instruction as needed. Modify curriculum and materials according to
IEP goals. Conduct evaluations and maintain accurate records of
student progress. Collaborate with educators and specialists to
support student success. Engage in professional development to stay
current with best practices in special education. Ensure compliance
with special education regulations and complete necessary
