A Deployment Engineer assists in the successful deployment of integrated or stand-alone releases of our software, Solumina. This team member role is critical to the production on which the organization's internal and external customers depend. As a Deployment Engineer, you will support the mission to continually lead, facilitate, and coordinate synchronized releases to maximize the value delivered to iBASEt's Customers. Essential Functions: - Assist customers with installation of software required to run Solumina such as Docker, Kubernetes, and RDMS (Oracle or SQL Server) - Guide customers on using Linux administration tools related to Solumina software or software components - Guide customers through Solumina Installation and upgrade processes - Efficiently work with product and services teams to identify and resolve application and server issues supporting customers and provide the required technical guidance to complete software deliverables - Support project team with data load, migration, and integration tasks - Work with product specialists and team leaders to create the accurate level of effort estimates and schedules - Effectively work with Implementation Manager(s) in estimating, planning, prioritizing, and executing assigned tasks within project deadlines - Develop documented procedures for deploying Solumina using continuous improvement and best practices mindset - Work in a team environment to discover requirements, design, and solutions for the customer - Foster knowledge sharing with a team of field developers and technical leads Requirements: - Must have experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm in a Production environment for at least 3 years - Operational Experience in the public cloud, such as AWS, Digital Ocean, Azure - Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code - Proficient knowledge of Java/JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, Database (Oracle and SQL Server), PLSQL/TSQL, XML, XSLT, JEE, JMS Tomcat/ActiveMQ, React.js, and RESTful APIs - Must have experience scripting with bash, PowerShell, or similar - Experience with source code control management, branch management, builds and code promotion processes - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies - Software development and deployment experience - Strong understanding of UNIX operating systems - Linux and Linux Administration, Windows is a plus - Solid understanding of networking within the context of Kubernetes and Cloud/Datacenter environments Required Education/Experience: - Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline; or equivalent work experience. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and customer relations skills, both written and oral Salary Midpoint $125,000.00 What we offer We are committed to offering the best to our employees.
