Our Supply Chain team is a centralized, global team, providing a central strategy, structure, and standards while partnering with business leaders to get business unit specific results. - Job Summary The Director - Global Logistics Quality is responsible to lead the Global Logistics Quality organization in the development and maintenance of supplier, Spectrum Brands logistics warehousing & transportation and customer delivered quality. The position collaborates extensively with operations, finance, sales, new product development, procurement, suppliers, and external customers. This role is one designated as not anchored to a designated Spectrum Brands office. Work can be done remote, from a dedicated home office in an approved state within the continental United States. This role can be done from a dedicated home office in most states in the continental US. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Defines inspection strategy, tools, processes, and timelines for quality assurance of new and existing products and features distribution deployment.
  • Coach the Logistics Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams, plans and directs work activities, and ensures that responsibilities, goals and objectives are accomplished efficiently, completely, and within established timeframes.
  • Directs QA/QC operations through clear policies and processes that drive compliance; works closely and collaboratively to establish the process for clear and efficient operations.
  • Works with the distribution, transportation, and procurement teams to define and implement best practice QA processes, practices, and toolsets; establishes the strategic plan, processes/procedures and policies for the QA/QC group in alignment with company policies and goals.
  • Define product pallet, cube, and weight fill customer specifications; mitigate delivered quality customer fines both physical and electronic quality deliverables.
  • Works with project team members to ensure quality business requirements and/or feature documents are clear, concise, and measurable with defined logistics Quality metrics.
  • Deploy SAP QC inbound and outbound warehouse management processes; work to automate QA processes where possible to increase operational efficiency.
  • Implement quality continuous improvement and industry best practices; leverage latest trends in the logistics quality management and work to improve quality and productivity through process innovation
  • Drive delivered physical and electronic quality supplier defect cost recovery to include carrier and 3PL.
  • Manage quality improvement programs and Corrective Action Reports for 3 rd party warehouse logistics shipped quality, inventory accuracy, carrier pallets damages and non-compliant customer delivered requirements.
  • Define and measure Acceptable Quality Limits, AQL receiving, cycle count and shipping quality.
  • Deployed Walmart Supplier Quality, SQEP warehouse programs, leverage GSI electronic standards for continuous improvement of electronic ASN quality, packaging, labeling, and reporting. Education and Experience Profile
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is required.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of forecasting, logistics, supply chain, or related fields is required.
    • Experience with SAP, warehouse management databases and transportation management systems, is preferred.
    • Relevant experience in a consumer-packaged goods company is preferred.
    • Experience with industry-specific QA techniques and methodologies is preferred. Required Skills

      • Subject Matter Expert in Define, Measure, Analyzes, Improve, Control, DMAIC corrective actions
      • Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail oriented, and able to multi-task
      • Solid project management skills, including ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule, and communicate with all levels of staff
      • Understanding of industry-specific quality assurance requirements and regulations
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to affect change and build and maintain positive partnerships at all levels both internal and external to the organization.
      • Travel up to 25% time as required.
      • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
      • Work on site remote warehouse operations to audit and quality assessments.
