Job Description:
Job Summary:CellCarta is in search of an Assay Development
Manager based out of our Lake Forest, CA laboratory. As a leader
within our Assay Development team, you will be responsible for
providing direction over our assay development projects,
coordinating staff, and partnering with our scientific teams to
achieve results. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience
with assay development, optimization, and validation. - They will
have experience managing a large number of complex projects and
providing guidance and oversight to employees.
Responsibilities:
Manage the optimization and
validation of assays with support from Study Directors and
Principal Scientists; monitor the progress of studies to ensure
project deadlines are met.Troubleshoot staining issues in assay
used in clinical sample testing.Write and review technical
documents such as staining protocols, training guides, and
SOPs.Provide oversight and direction to assay development
coordinators in managing the daily testing schedule and other
laboratory services as needed.Work with laboratory leadership to
ensure appropriate training of laboratory staff, including general
background, a review of the technique, troubleshooting, and initial
hands-on demonstrations.Provide technical support to project
management and other departments. -Requirements:
Master's degree in biology
-chemistry, or other physical science + 4 years lab-based work
experience; OR Bachelor's degree in biology -chemistry, or other
physical science + 6 years lab-based work experience.3+ years
experience with immunohistochemistry (IHC).Experience with Dako
and/or Leica staining platforms.Technical experience in
immunofluorescence (IF) is a plus.Excellent communication
skills.Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Ability to prioritize
and work in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable working in a GLP,
