Location: Lake Forest, CA OR San Leandro, CA (hybrid)

Duration: 6+ Months

Pay Range: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour

Power BI (Business Intelligence) Senior Developer/Data Manager (Contract to Hire)



Location: Hybrid role. Minimum 3 days per week in the office. Expect to be in office 5 days per week during first few months for training and ramp up. Candidates must be local to 1 of the 2 areas and able to work in either the Lake Forest, CA or San Leandro, CA office. No Relocation is available for this position.



Job Description:

Position will be part of R&D DevOps team, focusing on Power BI services management and development. They should have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and internal customers. The candidate should be capable of collecting, understanding, and translating requirements from stakeholders into technical feature implementations within Azure DevOps. Flexibility in adjusting work hours to accommodate global R&D teams and other team members is required. The candidate will also be responsible for planning and coordinating work with other R&D DevOps Data Insights team members





Required Skillset:

• 
  
• Translate end user requirements into technical implementation with a focus on Power BI development.
  
• Design, Develop, Deploy, Manage and Support Power BI Reports.
  
• Ability to design and maintain efficient data models, schemas, and database structures to optimize storage.
  
• Working experience on designing prototypes and mockups.
  
• Working experience with Power BI Services deployment pipelines and workspace management.
  
• Experience working with various data sources, including Cosmos DB, Excel, SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint Lists/Libraries, and Azure DevOps REST APIs.
  
• Change management and source control for Power BI reports.
  
• General understanding of Azure DevOps work management and CI/CD processes related to Power BI.

  • Experience with Client Azure Data Factory for designing collection pipelines.
    
  • SQL T-SQL Experience writing SPs and Views.
    
  • Knowledge of data security best practices.
    
  • Experience working with Cosmos DB for data storage and retrieval.
    
  • Familiarity with Data Mart design and implementation.
    
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data integration and transformation.
    
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report generation and management.
