ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Researches and gathers necessary information in preparation for updating tables, directories and/or other information in the computer system. + Reviews source documents for completeness and accuracy prior to data entry. + Maintains a strong, current knowledge of related information. + Enters data in the computer system. Verifies from source documents that information entered in the computer system is accurate and completed. + Responds to field inquiries related to data entered in the computer system by telephone contact or written communication. May provide related assistance with training programs for computer system users. + Provides back-up assistance for departmental data entry support as needed. + Maintains electronic copy files of specific related information. + Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None Minimum Required Qualifications Education and/or Experience + Equivalent to a High School Diploma is required. + At least one-year related experience is required. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Computer Skills + Computer savvy with MS Excel, MS Office and MS Project required. Language Skills + English (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical Skills + High School level mathematical proficiency. Other Skills + Knowledge of HCPCS desired. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to moderate noise.
