Our Commercial Operations team is a cross-business unit organization responsible for operational activities and execution to enable the success of business unit strategies for both digital and traditional channels. Our Commercial Operations organization consists of teams focused in the following areas: Consumer Insights & Analytics, Digital Consumer Experience, Ecommerce Sales Strategy & Operations, and Revenue & Profit Management. These teams work collaboratively with each business unit to maximize our competitive edge in the marketplace.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Revenue & Profit Management (RPM) will be a strategic and analytical candidate with a background in sales, finance, trade marketing and/or project management. This position is a part of the Revenue & Profit Management team within the Commercial Operations group. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and influence people, analyze data, and make sound recommendations in an often-ambiguous environment. The right person for this role will thrive on being a servant leader and a natural problem-solver, with the ability to align effectively across internal functions and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders. The role will involve a mixture of daily business partnership and project leadership, collaborating with both internal and external partners.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic (60%)

  • Lead key RPM pillars within divisional teams; customer segmentation, performance-based trade allocation, trade analytics (using ROI insights to drive improved trade investment decisions), and pricing architecture
  • Establish processes to set trade spend budgets and roadmaps to allocate funds to optimize HPC's portfolio profitability
  • Manage a dynamic, live funding model tool for customer and products based on profitability
  • Lead division implementation of key information technology tools and systems enhancements needed to support the RPM function. Including, but not limited to, tools that drive the establishment of pricing strategies, and implementing pricing improvement programs
  • Determine new product pricing positioning to successfully obtain business objectives
  • Lead everyday market governance within the Business Unit (BU) for core RPM roadmap elements, while collaborating with functional leaders to make market-level business decisions
  • Project leadership/management on capability-building initiatives, including multiple Revenue & Profit Management priorities.

Tactical (30%)

  • Revenue & Profit Management business partnership with cross functional leaders will be critical to ensure alignment, drive overall communication, and solicit feedback regarding priorities. These partnerships include Sales, Finance, Trade Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, Brand Marketing, and others.

Support (10%)

  • Collaboration with other Spectrum Brand divisions outside of Commercial Operations will include working with Shared Service teams to scale our Revenue & Profit Management efforts and share best practices.

Education and Experience Profile

Minimum Education and Experience Profile

  • BS/BA degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in sales, finance, and/or trade investment
  • Preferred 1-3 years experience in pricing strategy and trade investment management
  • Relevant experience in leading change initiatives within organizations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with other business teams.
  • Experience managing others

Additional Preferred Education and Experience Profile

  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Prior experience managing 3rd party business partners (i.e. consultants).
  • Prior experience with trade promotions management and/or predictive planning platforms.
