Come aboard, we've been expecting you!Work Schedule:We are currently working remotely until March 2022 and will offer a hybrid/remote work schedule once we return to our new offices in Irvine.JOB SUMMARYResponsible for project administration of overall workflow for generation of in-flight entertainment & communication related Technical Publications. Oversee overall process workflow, with direct responsibility for all non-technical aspects of providing Technical Publications - ranging from Demand Management and Statement of Work definition, coordinating review & approval of draft/final versions of Technical Publications, to release of Final Versions of Technical Publications; Coordination with 3rd party publications suppliers and associated maintenance of related data records.RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical Publications Demand Management* Demand Management - Identification & Scheduling: Work cross-functionally with company-wide internal Technical Publications requestors to identify demand for New/Revision Technical Publications; Responsible for advising internal parties on Technical Publications required, and schedule coordination; Responsible for maintenance of Technical Publications Order/Delivery Schedule and maintenance of related data records* Statement of Work (SOW) Creation: Responsible for working with internal PAC parties and Technical Publications suppliers to define non-technical aspects of SOW for authoring of New/Revision Technical Publications (i.e. Demand Definition, Scheduling, Order Placement with suppliers, etc.)* Source Documentation Management: Assist with defining requisite Source Documentation for authoring of Technical Publications; Work cross-functionally with PAC internal parties to define and obtain required Source Documentation; Assist with resolving suppliers' queries regarding missing/incorrect Source Documentation* Supplier Quote Approval and Purchase Requisition Initiation: Responsible for reviewing and approving suppliers' quotes for production of Technical Publications and obtaining any requisite internal approvals; Responsible for initiating Purchase Requisitions to suppliers, approving supplier Invoices, resolving PR/PO issues, and maintenance of related data recordsTechnical Publications Review & Approval and Release Management* Technical Publications Review & Approval: Responsible for workflow for Review and Approval of draft/final versions of authored Technical Publications; Responsible for coordinating with departmental and PAC internal parties for their review/approval of draft/final versions of Technical Publications and coordination with 3rd Party Technical Publications suppliers for delivery of draft(s), requests for any rework efforts, and delivery of Final Versions of Technical Publications; Responsible for performing a non-technical review of Technical Publications prior to completion (i.e. Document Title, Document #, Format, etc.)* Technical Publications Release Management: Responsible for submittal of Final Versions of Technical Publications to PAC's Document Control Services (official document repository); Responsible for providing Customer access to completed Technical Publications via PAC's Customer PortalMiscellaneous* Overall Technical Publications Workflow: Oversee overall Technical Publications production workflow, ensuring that Demand Management, Statement of Work, review & approval of draft/final versions of Technical Publications, and release of Final Versions of Technical Publications are per schedule; Serve as troubleshooter for identifying production/delivery issues and ensuring resolutions are identified* OEM Technical Publications Requirements: Manage providing of requisite PAC generated Technical Publications via OEMs' supplier portals, obtaining OEM approvals, and resolving queries as applicable* Release of Service Bulletins: Release of Hardware Service Bulletins for PAC Customer access via PAC's Customer Portal* Industry Reporting Requirements: Ensure that industry reporting requirements are satisfied - i.e. Publication of a listing of all Technical Publications produced by PAC, etc.* Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with generation of Airline Program Change Request Quotes & Sales Proposal Responses as required; Assist with preparation and release of departmental reports, etc.; Assist with process audits as requiredKNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS* Knowledge of aircraft industry, IFEC equipment, and experience dealing with cross-functional processes preferred* Knowledge of industry specifications ATA iSpec2200 & S1000D preferred* Excellent project management skills required; Ability to create and manage complex schedules and requirements matrices; Practiced ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally with internal and external parties to ensure project activity is accurate and on-time; Strong aptitude for time management and ability to multiplex across different tasks* Ability to provide direction to assigned technical/non-technical project team(s) and perform as Technical Publications subject matter expert/resource to ensure tasks completion* Excellent decision making and complex problem-solving skills based on process knowledge; Solid planning and organizational skills; Able to "connect-the-dots" across functions to identify solutions* Proficient with MS Office suite of software applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* Completion of related trade school program, AA, BA/BS, or equivalent external training* Aviation industry Technical Publications production preferred* Minimum 5 years of related experienceOTHER REQUIREMENTS* Minimal travel may be required* Remote/Hybrid work environment may be requiredPanasonic is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
