seeking candidates for the position of eProcurement Program Senior
Specialist, for the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division (ARDx),
reporting to the Director of ARDx Indirect Procurement. - - This
role will be expected to develop, lead, and implement an
eProcurement strategy across all indirect spend disciplines,
working closely with Abbott's Global Procurement team to drive
synergies. - They will:Work closely with key stakeholders in both
Corporate and Division organizations to develop effective cost
reduction strategies, indirect supplier consolidation, and lead the
adoption of Corporate preferred suppliers.--- - - - - - - - - - - -
Lead implementation of eProcurement strategy and systems to
increase visibility, control, speed, and catalog use of indirect
purchases while consolidating indirect suppliers and delivering
savings--- - - - - - - - - - - - Enhance the eProcurement tools to
support supplier diversity, spend analytics and risk mitigation---
- - - - - - - - - - - Develop and mentor peers on the eProcurement
subject matter and sourcing strategies--- - - - - - - - - - - - Be
accountable for building and nurturing stakeholder relationships by
serving as a business partner, helping identify critical
requirements and provide sourcing and procurement services--- - - -

- - - Proactively identify new business opportunities, process
improvement, and cost efficienciesWHAT YOU'LL DO
- -Mastery of eProcurement system, indirect spend and supplier
base data
- Develop and lead adoption of preferred suppliers across
procurement platforms
- Demonstrate the ability to translate supply base data into risk
mitigation analysis
- Anticipate internal/external business challenges and drives
change
- Lead project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. Lead
project teams responsible for selection of category strategy.
Recruit, mentor, train and develop talent
- Research and evaluate business requirements and suppliers
- Drive value and savings for categories
- Collaborate with other functions
- Develop, execute, train others on eProcurement bidding
processes (e.g. - RFPs, RFIs, ---..)
- Prepare analytical reports and dashboards to influence
stakeholders/customers without authority
- Solves complex problems and proposes practical solutions
- Perform value analysis on costs and supplier quotes
- Create and manage project plans, identify resources to support
projects, drive multiple projects through complex sourcing
processes and ensure end results meet the requirements
- Support the development and completion of contracts, statement
of work and standard operating procedure in a system -
- Ensures all procurement policies and procedures are aligned
with internal stakeholders e.g. Legal, Risk Management, Supply
Chain
- Recommend process improvements to streamline for
efficienciesPosition Accountability / Scope:
- Responsible for an eProcurement system with spend > $500MM,
Over 5,000 suppliers across a global organization of 5 Business
Units
- Develop comprehensive eProcurement knowledge across indirect
spend categories
- Strong working knowledge of operations -
- Recognized as the SME in indirect categories
- Identifies, develops, and executes key operations initiatives
focused on efficiencies, cost savings and customer service
- Lead the development of contracts, statement of works and
standard operating procedures aligning with Procurement policies
and division requirements - in an eProcurement systemEDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRINGRequired:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Supply Chain, Business or
Technical area (e.g. Engineering)
- Certifications or equivalent experience with Ariba, Coupa or
other procurement platforms
- Class A, Lean or Six Sigma certification or experience
preferred
- MBA preferredPreferred:
- 3-5 years of eProcurement and operations experience preferably
in indirect categories of Facilities, MRO, Lab Supplies, PPE, IT,
Consulting or Professional Services like drug testing and
background checks for onboarding employees
- Experience in a highly regulated matrix environment, preferably
in the Healthcare Industry
- Experience dealing with Privacy data requirements and
contracting (PII, HIPAA, PCI, PHI)
- Skilled negotiator with deep knowledge of contract structures
and language
- Change manager with strong influencing skills
- Mastery of excel including proficiency in excel and other
analytical tools
- Proficient communication skills; verbal and written for
recommendations and presentations
- Strong project management skills
- Strong initiative, work ethic and problem-solving skills
