Job DescriptionWe are looking for experienced Claims Adjustors to join our growing team in Lake Forest, CA This position will allow you to apply your experience as a Claims Adjustor, Service Manager, Service Advisor, Service Technician, or working the Parts Counter to our positive office environment with opportunities for advancement. Please send your resumes to our Hiring Specialist @ thutchinson@portfolioco.comJob Summary & Objective: The Mechanical Claims Adjuster II will primarily be responsible for answering incoming calls and adjudicating mechanical claims based on the terms and conditions of a Vehicle Service Contract. The Claims Adjuster will utilize their automotive industry expertise to negotiate parts pricing, labor times, and determine coverage eligibility. The Mechanical Claims Adjuster will share their industry knowledge with team members in a positive office environment with opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pmCompensation: $28.00 Exceptional Benefits! Essential Functions:

  • Answer inbound calls regarding general questions and claims requests in a timely manner using the utmost professionalism
  • Correspond with repair facilities, customers and agents via email and telephone
  • Gather all necessary information from customers, service advisors and dealers to help guide well-informed decisions
  • Provide guidance for both customers and repair facilities throughout the claims process
  • Take detailed notes of conversations and document in the system and contract
  • Review coverage on contracts to estimate costs utilizing various parts and labor resources
  • Review estimates submitted by repair facilities
  • Verify all repair costs are within industry standards
  • Maintain knowledge of all Portfolio products, services, and procedures
  • Assist with other projects and administrative duties, as assignedWork Environment and Physical Requirements:
    • Normal office environment
    • Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time
    • Ability to occasionally walk, stand and reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch
    • Ability to constantly hear and talk, both in person and by phone
    • Ability to grasp objects such a telephone or computer mouse, finger dexterity to use a keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment
    • Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen and use close vision, distant vision, depth perception and adjust focus
    • Ability to lift at least 20 poundsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
      • Operate standard office equipment, including the use of a PC, scanner, printer, etc.
      • Extensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principles
      • Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and deadlines simultaneously
      • Highly organized with great attention to detail
      • Ability to learn specialized software applications quickly
      • Interact effectively with employees, agents, consultants and customers
      • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive Company information and use judgment and tact in applying policies, solving problems, and communicating standards
      • Perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
      • Ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyRequired Education and Experience:
        • High school diploma (or equivalent)
        • 2+ years of Automotive industry experiencePreferred Skills:
          • Prior experience working in Claims or a Call Center environment
          • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
          • ASE Certification is a plusINDSP
