Job Description:
Lake Forest Animal Clinic is seeking a full-time or Part-time,
experiencedPatient Care Coordinator to join our team! *Saturdays
and Sundays are required, and Sunday shifts include a pay
differential. *Location:24301 Muirlands Blvd Ste p, Lake Forest, CA
92630Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, 7 am-6 pm; Saturdays, 8
am-4:00 pm. *Urgent Care Hours coming soon* - Sundays 8 am - 4:00
pmCompensation: starting at $19.00/hr.Job Summary: The Patient Care
Coordinator will help support doctors in rooms and with medical
treatments. The candidate must communicate effectively with team
members and clients, pay close attention to detail, and be
organized.Responsibilities* Maintain and uphold the Core Values and
Mission Statement of MVP.* Guide the support staff to ensure that
the shift flows well.* Mentor team members for career advancement
and personal development towards goals.* Provide patient care under
the supervision and direction of a DVM.* Maintain excellent client
communication.* Record all pertinent medical, client, and
case-related information in the patient record accurately with
appropriate grammar, terms, and accurate information.* Review
medical records estimates or discharge instructions with clients.*
Answer clients inquiries about primary animal care and routine
procedures; handle clients medical questions confidently and direct
them to veterinarians when appropriate.Qualifications* Must be
proficient in various skills ranging from but not limited to
laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, patient handling, and
nursing skills.* Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in
stressful situations and handle a fast-paced environment.* Ability
to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.* Ability to
give SQ injections.* Knowledge of usage, dosage, and common
side-effects for commonly used prescription drugs and the ability
to readily explain them to the clients.* Knowledge of standard
anesthesia, the ability to proficiently monitor surgery patients
during procedures and recovery, and the ability to alert
veterinarians when symptoms change or when concerns arise with
patients.* Ability to properly extubate, monitor temperature, and
recover a patient from anesthesia.* To perform the duties
proficiently, the employee must have mental processes for
reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading,
writing, and speaking the English language).* The employee must be
