Job Description:
A company is looking for a Genetic Counselor Assistant I
(Mon-Fri, 1:30pm - 10pm ET).
Key Responsibilities
Assist with test utilization management efforts, including review
of test orders and resolution of client order issues
Facilitate test set-up by linking appropriate samples and controls,
and adding gene lists for custom tests
Provide basic client services regarding turn-around-time, specimen
requirements, and test status updates
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in
Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical
sciences
Experience with systems involved in test ordering and setup, such
as provider portal and LIMS
Ability to identify complex cases for escalation to a supervisor or
genetic counselor
Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned
