Structural Analyst will perform stress analysis of metallic and
composite primary aircraft structure made from cutting-edge
composite materials and technologies. Our Airframe Structural
Analysis team is responsible for performing analysis of airframe
structures and works closely with Structural Design, Loads,
Payloads/Interiors, Material & Process, Manufacturing Technology,
and System and Test & Evaluation groups. This position will report
to the Airframe Structural Analysis Manager.What you can do:
- Perform structural analysis of airframe structure (Boom, Cabin,
Empennage, Fuselage, and Wing)
- Performs stress analysis of primary structure made from
non-metallic and metallic materials
- Perform plan, model, and results reviews
- Evaluate analysis results and prepare formal reports and
findings
- Evaluate engineering development for conformity to standards,
procedures, and specifications
- Develop and manipulate large finite element models
- Perform trade studies to optimize structure and meet program
requirements
- Partner closely with other engineering team members throughout
the design and build process
- Additional tasks as assignedWhat you can contribute:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent
field
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience with aircraft stress
analysis
- Experience with metallic and non-metallic static strength,
fatigue, and/or damage tolerance analysis
- Experience in structural analysis methods and documentation,
including classical hand-sheet analysis
- Knowledge of classical structural analysis methodology and
aircraft design standards
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and collaborative
skills
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and
accomplish work within time constraints
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking personalityYou may also be
able to contribute:
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or
equivalent
- Familiarity with finite element analytical tools such as
Hypermesh, NASTRAN, Hyperview, ABAQUS, or similar (i.e., PATRAN,
FEMAP, etc.)
- Experience in CATIA V5/V6, SolidWorks or equivalentAny offer of
