Position Description
As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for working within
the framework of a team and performing the following
activities:
* Perform troubleshooting and dial-in processes for transfer
molding, liquid injection molding, compression molding, and
injection molding
* Conduct all setup operations in the work center
* Complete mold cleaning, maintain shop floor cleanliness, and meet
productivity targets
* Enter information into event logs, mold books, and time
sheets
* Adjust machines as required by Applied Medical's Quality
Policy
* Monitor and maintain the working area for organization and
safety
* Read and understand engineering drawings, shop order operations,
and sequences
* Clear documentation practices including verifying parameters and
calibration on equipment in work area
* Notify team Leaders of any hazards, process improvement ideas,
personnel issues, and facility upkeep
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
* High school education or equivalent
* Minimum of two years' experience in extrusion, injection molding,
or rubber molding
* Minimum of two years of professional injection molding and robot
programming experience or skill-set equivalent
* Read, write, and speak English
* Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
* Entry level understanding of Microsoft Office, including Outlook,
Excel, and Word
* Basic knowledge of mold set-ups and basic resin properties
related to injection molding
* Foundational understanding of auxiliary equipment, including part
collectors, chillers, and MSI Mold
* Experience with mold preventative maintenance and cleaning
* Introductory understanding of process corrections and basic
trouble shooting
* Understand standards as specified by engineering drawings, MIs,
and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Recognize the functions of Initial Production Inspection (IPI)
and quality inspection teams
* Shop orders start-up process proficiency, including all safety
and machine and robot checklists
* Understanding of ALS and SAP software to maintain shop order
status
* Team player who works well with others and succeeds in a highly
collaborative environment
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $25 - $30 / hour for
the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based
on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but
not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and
specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum
and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the
date of this job posting. Your recruiter can share more about the
specific salary range compensation package during your hiring
process.

the future. Each amount of pay is considered to be wages or
compensation once such amount is earned and determinable. The
