As a Senior Transportation Procurement Supply Chain Analyst, you will provide initiative leadership on a variety of transportation topics. You will work closely with internal and external partners to improve processes, reduce costs, increase service offering and improve service. Create and report metrics, gives recommendations, and trains and educates the team on new policy and processes. You will report to the Senior Manager, Transportation Procurement. You Will:

• Develop, analyze, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement that improve transportation policies and processes around availability, transportation cost, and supply chain cost
  • Active participation in the identification, negotiation, and implementation of cost/service-effective alternative solutions
  • Manage project to expectations and to delivery goals
  • Lead continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure understanding in communicating with carriers and other internal partners (DC, Purchasing)
  • Analysis and audit
    • Analysis using transportation, freight payment and carrier databases to determine underlying causes of freight cost trends, identify inefficiencies, non-compliance and other opportunities for improvement
    • Work with internal and external partners to identify process improvement opportunities and to implement new policies and processes
    • Conduct audits to gaps in processes
    • Maintain and measure previously implemented projects/processes
    • Develop and utilize cross functional relationships
    • Serve as a key contact for cross functional projects
    • Serve as a go to person for understanding Zoro's information flow and help with on-boarding of the new team members You Have:
      • Bachelor's Degree with Supply Chain focus or equivalent experience
      • 3+ years in an analyst or similar role
      • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access and other reporting tools (e.g. Visio, SQL, NetSuitehighly) and interfaces.
