Lets change the world. The Hybrid Modality Group at Amgen is
seeking a highly motivated scientist in the field of Antibody Drug
Conjugates (ADC) to join us in the state-of-the-art research
facility at the Amgen headquarters campus located in Thousand Oaks,
CA. In this vital role you will work at the interface of synthetic
chemistry, biochemistry, and chemical biology, and apply your
chemical synthesis skills in developing new antibody drug
conjugates to support the advancement of drug discovery programs
Perform multistep organic synthesis of linker-payload reagents
under supervision Purify and characterize small molecules using
techniques such as flash chromatography, HPLC, LC/MS, and NMR.
Learn and perform bioconjugation of antibodies, peptides, and small
molecule payloads and characterize conjugates using analytical
techniques, such as HPLC, LC-MS, and SEC Document experimental
plans and procedures in electronic lab notebooks while following
appropriate SOPs. Generate, analyze and summarize scientific data
and provide regular updates on project results. Operate and
maintain standard lab equipment What we expect of you We are all

these qualifications. Basic Qualifications: B.S. in Organic
Chemistry or a related field with 0-2 years of academic or industry
experience Preferred Qualifications: Experienced in organic
synthesis including designing, executing, and optimizing chemical
reactions Basic understanding of purification and analytical
methods Eagerness to learn chemical conjugation and
characterization of ADC Demonstration of good lab practices, with
particular attention to safety Strong written and verbal
communication skills Ability to work comfortably within a dynamic
team of scientists and engineers with diverse technical and

range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted.
Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not
limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In
